Another day, more rain.
The entire summer has felt like one, prolonged rain event here in the Finger Lakes, and Monday was no exception to that rule.
For parts of Cayuga, Seneca, Yates, and Ontario counties two rounds of torrential rain. Some parts of southern Cayuga County, which were hard hit by flooding last week — saw strong thunderstorms knock down trees and power lines.
Part of Route 38 was even shut down, as crews worked to restore power and clean up the area.
To make matters worse, forecasters are concerned that this trend, which has developed over the last week — is one that could be seen repeating over the next several days.
While the forecast is clear for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday again bring the chance for showers and thunderstorms, which after all of the rain that has fallen to this point — will only hurt and complicate things for residents trying to clean up.
